Lately, Black music has been under major scrutiny. Throughout cook county, IL, there's the notion that "certain types of live performances—specifically country, rap, rock, and electronic music—do not constitute culture Or even, for that matter, music.” We all know where these genres stem from and the (Black) culture that fuels them. Detroit artist Mahogany Jones comes back to quench your thirst with her latest release "Sugar Water." You can only get the album on itunes and what not, but jones was kind enough to put forth a "Sugar WAter Sampler" just in case you needed proof that the queen was coming back in full effect.
